Sofia and I were were watching the countdown on the television-set last night. The TV box scares me, the folks on it say alarming things sometimes… Anyways, we were viewing, as I was saying, and the plastic-mold host was interviewing a woman with a big nose who was an important person for some reason. She was spewing out some sort of incomprehensible babble as did the other sapiens on the program when she said something unbelievably, (I can’t even think of an adjective to describe it, I’ll just go with humorously) sad. The woman’s nose said ‘…and the global recession this year.’ Global recession? Now I usually keep out of conversations when someone says something about a recession, it’s illogical, and rather than combat it I like to enjoy myself, so I daydream. However, I think something needs to be said here. Global recession! No one is working against you! Everything that was on the planet last year and the year before that is still here! It’s not as if humans are competing with another race that dwells off the face of the planet! You’re the only team on the court! I almost understand a regional recession, your competing with the rest of the world I suppose. Why? Well, I don’t know. But the whole planet is failing? I didn’t even know I was in a recession until this woman told me! I thought that was just something older middle-aged people talked about when they had nothing to converse about. This is one of the the most frightening things I’ve heard on the television box. You’re playing chess against yourself and your losing…
