On August 15th, 2008 we will begin phasing out support for Internet Explorer 6 across all 37signals products. In order to continue using the products without any hiccups, Internet Explorer 6 users should upgrade to a newer browser
This should make my web design life much easier. IE6 is a constant bear on web designers/developers and as more big-name sites (Apple’s me.com being another) begin to drop support for IE6, the rest are soon to follow.
The designers/developers are going to be the ones that make the push to get rid of IE6. As more sites stop supporting the browser it’s users are going to begin to wonder if their browser is the problem. I’m more than happy to quit pampering that horrid thing.
